Last June 28, 2014, we celebrated the Social Media Day 2014 at the Mam Bebs Bakeshop. As I quote, "Mashable launched the event in 2010 as a way to recognize the digital revolution happening right before our eyes. Each year, thousands of people organize hundreds of meetups across the globe. From Australia to the Philippines, all the way to Sri Lanka and Morocco, countries come together every June to participate in this global movement."

Big stars, fun celebration greet families in Jollibee Family Bee Day grand picnic

Thousands of families converged in five different venues across the country and enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon during Jollibee’s Family Bee Day, dubbed as the grandest picnic ever!

Held simultaneously at the Quirino Grandstand in Metro Manila, Bayanihan Park in Pampanga, Nuvali football grounds in Laguna, Plaza Independencia in Cebu and Crocodile Park in Davao, the event was highlighted by performances from topnotch celebrity guests, live bands, side attractions and overflowing Jollibee treats.

“We are very excited to mount an event of this magnitude that celebrates the Filipinos’ love for bonding over good food. We are very happy with the turnout and pleased to see everyone enjoying the company of other people whom they treat like family. Talagang dito sa Jollibee, ang sarap maging pamilya,” said Jollibee vice-president for Marketing Harvey Ong.

Martin Nievera, Klarisse de Guzman and Callalily top-billed the list of performers who entertained families at the Quirino Grandstand while those who trooped to the Nuvali football grounds got star struck with Marian Rivera, Erik Santos and Moonstar88. Yum endorser Julia Barretto, Shaina Magdayao, Rayver Cruz and 6Cyclemind wowed audiences at the Bayanihan Park.

Gerald Anderson, Julie Ann San Jose and Sponge Cola thrilled families and friends at the Plaza Independencia while Maja Salvador, Slater Young and Imago entertained Jollibee Family Bee Day picnic-goers at the Crocodile Park.

Celebrities Carmina Villaroel-Legaspi, Regine Tolentino, and Vince and Patricia Hizon also came with their families to have a picnic.

Local stilt walkers and jugglers paraded around the different venues while dance performances from Jollibee and friends, Jollibee Kids Club members and leading dance crews kept the excitement up throughout the afternoon picnic. While the kids had a grand time playing at the inflatable slide and basketball shootout, families also enjoyed posing by the giant picnic basket and special photo frame wall installations to capture the fun moments. Before the day ended, photos from the event already made the rounds on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter sites with the hashtag #FamilyBeeDay.

By turning an ordinary summer afternoon into a fun-filled celebration with exciting entertainment from some of the country’s leading celebrities and bands, outdoor fun and games and great-tasting food, the country’s number one family fast-food chain truly enabled thousands of families to celebrate the grandest picnic ever!

As the grandest picnic ever, the Jollibee Family Bee Day gathered families, big and small, in five venues nationwide, for an afternoon filled with performances, outdoor games and Jollibee treats.

#DBSparty2014 : Davao Bloggers Acquiantance Party

#DBSparty2014 : Davao Bloggers Acquiantance Party

It was the second week of April when I’ve read a post in the Davao Bloggers page that there will be an incoming acquaintance party on April 12, 2014 at the Bucket Shrimps. I was excited because I was planning to be an official member to this respected organization. I am unofficial member for almost a month now. I looked at the poster and was astonished for the reason that they have lots of sponsors namely Smart Communications, Inc., Cebu Pacific Air, Lachi's Sans Rival Atbp, Tune Hotels, Banana Beach, Bucket Shrimps Davao, Krispy Kreme and My Skin Essentials, Phils. There were loads of surprises and raffles that was given away on the event.

I joined their activities and realized that this organization fits me. I had been blogging since 2009 and I change my URL a number of times. I started at Blogspot then moved to Tumblr and Wordpress. Since then, I have not met any bloggers in the real life. I thought I was the only one who has passion in blogging. Then 2014 came. I was frustrated to meet new people who have the same passion. I searched and searched until I found the page of the Davao Bloggers. I joined at February, 2014 and luckily, my request was accepted.

I was thrilled as I will then be an official member of this renowned organization. Since I looked forward for the acquaintance party, I arrived at the place at 5:00p.m. And the starting time will be at 6p.m. With so much eagerness in me, I arrived an hour before the party! I waited patiently beside the Bucket Shrimps until I met Princess or Cess. She is my closest friend in this association. She also brought with her daughter with her. After, other bloggers keep on arriving. There are bloggers whom I met before and some new faces. I want to meet them all! Opportunely, Cess helped me out. She introduced me to the current members and to the officers. They are so welcoming, friendly and kind. They always try to reach out.

There were great prices from the sponsors. Some of the big prices include roundtrip ticket to DVO-MNL-DVO c/o Cebu Pacific Air, overnight accommodation for 2 at Banana Beach Resort and overnight accommodation for 2 at any Tune Hotels in the PHL. Congratulations to the winners!

Here are some of the snapshots of the event.

Dampa Davao Food Tasting

Dampa Davao Food Tasting
Last week, Dampa Davao invited the Davao Bloggers to a food tasting event. It is near the Bangko Central ng Pilipinas. The ambiance is very welcoming. Dampa (in Philippines) means a hut or "more of a nipa hut, to be exact". This restaurant promotes Filipino ambiance to its customers. The design on its front looks like there is a fiesta (or feast) that is happening there. It has also parking area on its front that is reserved for its costumers.

According to the waiter who was serving us, this Dampa Davao Tiongko Avenue branch opened somewhere in December 10, 2014 and here it is. The picture below is what it looks like on its front.

They offer lechong manok in which I have forgotten to look for the price but it really tastes good. I love its aroma and its mouth-watering smell.
