Last September 11, 2014, we visited the Saging Repablik along the Tionko avenue, corner V mapa street, Davao City. Basically, Banana Repablik primarily offers viants and dishes that is incorporated with Saging or Banana (in english). Davao City is one of the main producers of Banana in the country. It is because Davao is a tropical city which has rich soils for banana to grow. Sometimes, it is also exported to the different countries. The owner has innovated a restaurant which promotes Davao City and Philippines as a whole.
Saging Repablik opened its doors to the public last June 27, 2014. Though this restaurant is just months old, there are already people who franchised and invested to this banana-themed restaurant. This unique concept has made it successful. With this, they invited bloggers to join their Blogger's night.

Pomelo Juice |
What I love about their Pomelo juice is that it is pure, no sugar or preservatives added. It is totally a healthy and refreshing drink! I also love their bottle and how they present the juice.

Camaron Rebusado Con Banana ( Deep fried Shrimp and Banana Slices ) (P160) |
This shrimp dish that comes along with a creamy sauce which tastes really good!

Spareribs with Banana Barbeque Sauce (P245) |
This Spareribs is also one of my recommendations if you are to visit this restaurant. Well, that is if you don't mind eating some fatty and delicious meat! This is actually my first time to taste spareribs with banana barbeque sauce, so far, it's really good! Never thought that these two would complement each other!

Chickenana Pops |
|
Pochero Con Saba (P235) |
This Pochero Con Saba dish is literally has a saba (a kind of banana) on it. Normally, saba is eaten by boiling or frying. It is not normally incorporated with a dish. But this dish is a must try! I'm in love with the soup and this is actually one of my personal favorites!
|
Chicken Cordon Bleu |
I'm loving how the sauce and the taste of the chicken blend each other. The dish contains ham and cheese inside. Hmmm sounds yummy isn't?
|
Sisag ( Sisig at Saging ) (P165) |
I am a fan of sisig. If I am to order some meat dish, though it is unhealthy and fatty, I would really choose sisig! (Goodbye diet!) Well, this dish is very innovative, again, banana is incorporated with my favorite dish! Since it contains banana, and banana contains Potassium, I am enticed to eat this! Or maybe I'm just trying to convince myself that at least it is a bit healthy! By the way, this is one of my personal picks and might want to try it when you'll have an opportunity to visit this place. Plus, it is one the low priced dish in Saging Repablik!
|
Humbananacue (P210) |
This dish is Humbananacue. After eating the dish, you would have an instant banana desert covered with peanuts and sugar! Very flavorful!
|
Pochero Con Saba (P235) |
|
Beef Tenderloin Salpicao (P255) |
In a body of a cow/pig, the most tender part is the tenderloin. No doubt this dish is very mouth-watering. It is very saucy that you'll be needing an extra rice!
|
Afrinana (Afritada with Banana) |
Afritada with a banana? Hmmm, This dish is a kind of healthy since it contains some carrots, potatoes and not to mention, banana.
|
Fish Cobbler |
This dish is best partnered with its sauce. It complements the rice very well.

words of wisdom |
The picture above are some words of wisdom I found upstairs. By the way, we stayed upstairs and oh the place looks really nice. Some of the pictures are found at the bottom of this post.

|
Frosted Double Gatchocolatto |
My personal picks from the main dished would include Pochero Con Saba and Sisag. But basically, every dish is worth a try.
Budget: Php 150 to Php 230, but most of their dishes can be shared by two persons.
VALUE: ★★★★ ☆ ( Medium prices.)
ATMOSPHERE:★★★★★ (The place is very stylish and calming.)
SERVICE:★★★★☆ (Friendly staffs.)
FOOD:★★★★☆ (I love the though of main dishes plus bananas. I really love the tastem. Surprisingly, I never thought it would be that good!)
This restaurant has a souvenir shop. They sell shirts, bags and mugs. If you are new in Davao, this is a must visit shop! The prices of the shirts ranges from Php300 to 500.
